Stay Tuned!

With the first quarter behind it now, Istanbul is starting 2010 all over again. Stay tuned!

Time marches on. And Istanbul has already left its first three months as European Capital of Culture far behind. In its wake are an as yet incomplete Istanbul Conference Center, a renovated Muhsin Ertuğrul Theater and the Sur-i Sultani project on which work continues apace. Istanbullites are still looking at nine whole action-packed months. Although perhaps not always apparent, it should be pointed out that almost all the events taking place in Istanbul 2010 are sponsored by the Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency. From ‘New Trends of Architecture in Europe and Asia-Pacific’ at the Milli Reasürans Art Gallery and ‘From Traditional to Contemporary’ at Istanbul Modern to the Istanpoli project at Garajistanbul and the ‘Mad Art Festival’ at the French Cultural Center, almost everything relating to art is a milestone of the cultural capital program.
