Bologna Inaugurated As 120th Destination

Turkish Airlines introduced daily return flights to Bologna, its 120th destination abroad, on Monday, March 1st. Bologna is the airline’s fourth flight destination in Italy following Rome, Milan and Venice. Taking part in the inaugural flight on the Istanbul/Bologna route were Ataturk Airport Civil Aviation Chief Mehmet Ali Ulutaş, Turkish Airlines’ Board Chairman Hamdi Topçü, Board Member Turan Erol, and Bologna Sales Manager Tarkan İnce as well as top level officials and members of the press. Following a press conference at Bologna Airport on the evening of March 1st, the first flight was celebrated together with members of the press in a gala evening at the Reenzo Palace. Speaking at the press conference, Turkish Airlines Board Chairman Hamdi Topçu said, “We are opening a new flight destination in Italy, where we have been flying for 50 years. The Bologna route is going to be very important for us.”
